I learned this version from the Joe Burke CD “A Tribute from Michael Coleman”

I recorded only one time through the A and B sections, usually played AABB.

Technique note: I’m using a cross fingered 2nd octave G# in the 2nd part:

(x=closed, o=open)

so the second octave E, F#, G#, goes like this:

xxoooo

This fingering works very well on the Burke Wide Bore Brass D, but is less stable on my Copeland high D.

Also, triple tonguing in 2nd part to simulate bowed triplets on fiddle.
