Inspired by Joey Albarta’s version of the tune at the 2007 Southern California Uilleann Pipers Club tionol concert.

Technique note: I’m using a cross fingered 2nd octave G# in the 2nd part:

(x=closed, o=open)

so the second octave E, F#, G#, goes like this:

xxxxxo
xxxxoo
xxoxxo
xxoooo

This fingering works very well on the Burke Wide Bore Brass D, but is less stable on my Copeland high D.

Also, triple tonguing in 2nd part to simulate bowed triplets on fiddle.

This is a simple pattern for E Dorian reels that also works well capoed at 5 for A Dorian tunes.
