Tuesday, February 27th, 2007Technique note: I’m using a cross fingered 2nd octave G# in the 2nd part:
(x=closed, o=open)
xxoxxo
so the second octave E, F#, G#, goes like this:
xxxxxo
xxxxoo
xxoxxo
xxoooo
This fingering works very well on the Burke Wide Bore Brass D, but is less stable on my Copeland high D.
Also, triple tonguing in 2nd part to simulate bowed triplets on fiddle.
